Daily Devotions from our teens: Giving Honor

Day 293: Ephesians 6:3

Ephesians 6:3 – If you honor your father and mother, “Things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on earth.”

Something I’m really picking up on are God’s definite statements. He doesn’t say you might live a long life, or things might go well. God makes his promise very clear. He says things WILL go well, and you WILL live a long life. Just make sure to honor and respect your parents.

Another quick thing is that verse 7 ties in to what God showed me yesterday. It says, “Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for The Lord rather than people.” This was just encouraging to find the verse I couldn’t think of yesterday.

So to wrap things up; God is definite. He isn’t a sham or a made up story. He is God, and God is forever and eternal.
